Police responded to a report of a man with a gun in the parking lot of McDonald’s on Austin Street, Saturday morning around 10:00.
When police arrived, the suspect had left the scene in a blue Nissan truck.
The victim reported he had witnessed a man cursing and blowing his horn at a person in the drive-thru line, and had approached him. According to the report, a woman at the drive-thru had stopped to clean up her spilled tea, and the suspect had became belligerent. When the victim approached the Nissan truck, the suspect got out of the vehicle with a .38 Special pistol and pointed it at the victim, before leaving in his truck. A picture of the Nissan truck’s tag was given to the officers and a warrant was issued for the driver’s arrest.
The driver was identified as Jimmy Kimmery, who was located at his place of work just before 1:00 PM Saturday. He was taken into custody without incident and the firearm was taken and placed into evidence.
