Volunteer firefighters from Newmansville, Limestone, Fall Branch and others responded to a fire call during the 4 o’clock hour this morning in the 5900 block of Old Snapps Ferry Road near Hoss Williams Road in Greene County.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel reported a large container was on fire and was beginning to spread into the woods. The U.S. Forest Service was also notified.
No injuries or additional structure damage have been reported. Further details are not yet available. Firefighters remained on the scene into the 9 o’clock hour. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department also responded.
