The American Legion Post #64 of Greeneville, TN and the Greeneville-Greene County Honor Guard will be holding their Annual Memorial Day Service today at 11 AM in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church, 211 North Main Street, Greeneville, TN. This program location was changed due to the weather.
The service will also include a presentation to Greene County Gold Star Mothers (Mothers of Soldiers that have died in combat) as well as a Memorial Tribute by the Greeneville-Greene County Honor Guard. This Honor Guard conducts Military Memorial Services for Soldiers in the East Tennessee area. It consists of all voluntary members that devote their time to serving their fellow service members with funeral honors. They have conducted military funeral honors from Johnson City, TN to Morristown, TN and in 2023 volunteered approximately 2,000 man hours.
This Annual Memorial Day Service is a moving and honorable tribute to attend by all those that would like to share a brief moment of their day to recognize those that have made the supreme sacrifice to their Nation.
The American Legion Post #64 of Greeneville, TN welcomes any Veteran of any branch of Armed Forces of the United States of America for membership.
