The Greeneville/Greene County Library’s annual community book sale will continue this year , albeit in a new location.
The book sale, a major fundraiser for the library, will be held in May inside the George Clem School building at 312 Floral Street.
Most recently the book sale has been held on the Greene Valley property over the past number of years. On going demolition and construction at that site led to the Library Board beginning the search for a new home for the annual event.
How long the event will be held at George Clem is unknown at this time as the George Clem Committee continues to consider options for the former school building which currently houses only the Head Start program. The Greeneville City School System moved out of the building prior to the beginning of the current school year. Those school offices and bus garage are now located at the Greeneville Career and Technical Academy property on Hal Henard Road.
This years book sale will begin with Full Price Weekend May 1st, 2nd and 3rd with hardbacks $2 and paperbacks $1.
Half Price Weekend will be May 8th and 9th with the $3 Bag Sell May 15th and 16th.
