City of Tusculum Mayor Alan Corley has filed a nominating petition to run for re-election for his seat on the Board of Commissioners in the November 5 general election.
Corley filed his petition with the Greene County Election Commission and joins fellow incumbent Barbara Britton on the ballot. Britton filed her nominating petition last month.
Following the election, the Board of Commissioners will organize and select a mayor and vice-mayor. Corley has served as mayor of Tusculum and Britton as vice-mayor since 2014.
The qualifying deadline for petitions is noon on Thursday, August 15.
