George Clem Multicultural Alliance is hosting our annual 8th of August Freedom Day Celebration this year.
The festivities will kick off on Friday, August 8th, with a Street Dance on Davis Street from 6 PM to midnight, hosted by Kristin Anderson & The Wesley Heights Community.
On Saturday, August 9th, the celebration continues at Coach J.J. Jones Community Park, located at George Clem School (312 Floral St.), from 2 PM to 10 PM. During this event, we will award the Fannie Mae Jones scholarship recipient. There will also be a Princess/Prince pageant (children can wear whatever makes them happy; everyone is a winner!), gospel performances, children’s games and inflatables, line dancing, storytelling, and more.
