5 people were arrested this morning for active warrants from a home on the old Asheville Highway and 2 dogs were removed by Animal Control.
Deputies responded to the home after midnight for an active warrant on Melissa Jacobs. According to the report, a man was seen outside the home in a vehicle and when questioned by deputies stated he was waiting for a male to come out. Due to information provided and having an active warrant for the listed address, the door was breached with the force of a kick by a deputy. Jacobs, Kimberly Cutshaw, and Cindy Collins were seen by deputies in a back bedroom and were called outside.
James Starnes was in the attic and reportedly refused to comply at first but eventually came out and was detained. All 4 were arrested with active warrants including Claude Day Jr. who was also inside. Animal Control responded as well and removed 2 dogs from the home.
