Registration is now open for the 4th Annual Jogging for Jess 5K event next month, on August 10, 2024, at Pioneer Park at Tusculum University.
This event is dedicated to raising money for local nursing and healthcare scholarships, helping support the future heroes of our community. Whether you’re a runner, a casual jogger, or someone who wants to support a great cause, this 5K can be a fun and fulfilling experience.
Jessica Colter was a 2017 graduate from Greeneville High School and was on the Dean’s List in Nursing School at ETSU. On December 6, 2020 she and another person were involved in an automobile accident that ended their life. After her death, friends and family raised money for a scholarship in her memory.
The Jessica Colter Memorial Scholarship 5K Race started in 2021 as a way to celebrate her life and provides annual scholarships to students pursuing a medical career.
Registration fees and donations will directly fund scholarships for aspiring nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring that Jess’s passion for helping others lives on through the next generation.
