Five companies submitted bids for construction of the track and field facility to be built behind Doak School.
The bid opening was held Tuesday at the Greene County School Central Office.
The low bid was from BurWil Construction of Bristol at $5,640,000 with construction complete in 330 days.
Merit Construction of Knoxville submitted a bid of $5,781,000 with 365 days to complete.
Christman Southeast of Knoxville bid $5,841,358, also calling for 365 days to complete.
Preston Construction of Johnson City submitted a $5,855,000 bid with construction complete in 345 days.
Skilled Services of Knoxville bid $6,139,200 for the job with a 365 day completion.
The contract with the school system for the project includes a $500 per day penalty for exceeding the construction completion date.
The school board is expected to vote on awarding the job at the December 4th board meeting.
