Police took a report Friday of a man stealing a pair of shoes.
Officers spoke with an employee of The Shoe Department on East Andrew Johnson Highway, who stated a man came into the store and swapped a pair of shoes he was wearing with another. The man ran out of the store and got into a gray car. The car drove backwards towards Publix, preventing the employee from getting a license plate number. The value of the shoes was placed at $70.
