The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is investigating vandalism of a tombstone at a Mosheim area cemetery.
The Pates Hill Road man reported that the tombstone he had purchased for his wife’s grave was damaged sometime last month at the Jackson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church cemetery on Little Chuckey Cutoff. No known suspect was named. Value of the stone was listed at $500.
