Two men were arrested on aggravated domestic assault charges after an incident at their Jeffries Lane home in Mosheim early today.
A Greene County Sheriff’s Department report indicates deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call at 1:41 am to an aggravated domestic assault.
Matthew L. Brobeck is a constable for District 6 in Mosheim and McDonald. He told officers he was lying in bed when his husband Joshua D. Mullins got mad at him over the TV volume. Brobeck stated Mullins picked up the TV remote and threw it at him, hitting him in the face. Mullins then got on top of Brobeck and started hitting him in the head, at which time Brobeck threw him off of him and started to walk out of the house. Mullins then picked up a lamp and hit Brobeck in the arm. Brobeck stated Mullins then grabbed a gun that was hid near the television and followed Brobeck outside. According to the report, Mullins fired one round in an unknown direction.
Mullins account of the incident stated Brobeck got mad over a vehicle they were planning on trying to buy and got up and started hitting him in the head. The altercation went from inside the house to outside, at which time Mullins stated Brobeck grabbed his handgun and shot one round in his direction.
No one was injured during the altercation.
Both men were arrested for aggravated domestic assault and are scheduled for session court appearances on Wednesday.
