Greene County Sheriff Wesley Holt Will Not Seek Reelection But Plans To Run For County Commission Seat

Greene County Sheriff Wesley Holt has officially announced he will not seek a third term in office next year.

Holt was first elected in 2018 and reelected in 2022.  He has been with the Sheriff’s Department since 1989.

Holt is not planning on stepping away from government service totally however, saying he plans to run for one of the three available 5th District Greene County Commission seats in 2026.
