The 75th Annual Greene County Fair opens its gates Monday, bringing all it’s traditions of agriculture, entertainment, and community celebration to the Greene County Fairgrounds.
Recognized statewide as one of Tennessee’s best fairs of its size, the Greene County Fair continues to make its mark. In 2024, it was named “Champion of Champions” by the Tennessee Association of Fairs—the highest honor awarded. In 2023, it also earned the title of Champion Fair in the AAA Division.
A fair of some kind has taken place in Greene County since 1870, when the Farmers and Mechanics Association held the county’s first exposition. The present-day Greene County Fair Association was incorporated in 1949, and this year’s event proudly marks its 75th anniversary.
