Another area bridge damaged by the flooding in September will open this week.
The State Route 67 / Broad Street Bridge in Elizabethton will reopen to traffic on Wednesday, a little over 9 months since it was heavily damaged by Hurricane Helene flood waters.
Deputy Governor and TDOT Commissioner Butch Eley and other federal, state and local officials will visit Carter County Wednesday at 3 to celebrate the reopening with a ribbon cutting.
The opening will bring to 47 the number of state roadways or bridges that will have reopened since the flooding in Northeast Tennessee.
