Police conducted a traffic stop of a Nissan Titan for seat belt violation Friday at just after noon.
A passenger in the vehicle was reportedly known to have a drug history, and a search was requested and consented to of the pick-up truck.
A search of the driver, identified as Benjamin Crawford of Baileyton Road, found a glass pipe with burnt residue and a search of the truck yielded a half gram of a crystal-like substance consistent with methamphetamine inside of a cigarette pack.
According to the report, a folded piece of aluminum found underneath the driver’s side was located containing suspected heroin.
The Drug Task Force seized the truck and money that was in Crawford’s wallet. Crawford was charged with Manufacture, Sale, Delivery of a Schedule I Drug, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Seat Belt Violation.
