The Greeneville Fire Department, particularly Station 2, has been featured in a national trade magazine.
Fire Chief Alan Shipley says the architect who designed the fire station submitted Greeneville in a competition by the magazine, which received an honorable mention.

Greeneville Parks and Recreation was also recently recognized in an article in Athleticbusiness.com. Tarkett Flooring, which constructed the gym floors at the Eastview Rec Center was featured in the magazine, and a picture of the work in Greeneville was used in the piece.
