A Greene County man died in a motor vehicle accident in Asheville, North Carolina Sunday morning.
According to a report from the Asheville Police Department, 34 year old Dustin “Dusty” Lee Hensley of Limestone died as a result of the 11:23 am crash on I-240 West next Exit 1B. The report indicates Hensley was driving a 2012 Ford pick up and towing a trailer with hay bales. Hensley lost control of the truck which rolled over. He was transported to nearby Mission Hospital where he died from his injuries. His father Larry Hensley, a passenger in the truck sustained minor injuries according to the report.
Hensley was a Chuckey Doak High School and Walters State graduate.
At the beginning of the Greeneville City Council meeting today, Mayor Cal Doty requested prayers for the family. His brother Matthew is a Greeneville City Councilman.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 3 until 7 pm at Jeffers Funeral Service in Afton with graveside services Friday at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
