The Greene County Budget and Finance Committee has proposed a transfer of properties with the Town of Greeneville related to facilities on Hal Henard Road.
Greene County would also pay $75,000 toward renovation of the Tennis Center pending Greeneville and the City Schools match that total.
Currently Greene County has 2/3rds interest in all three properties.
Greene County would still propose the deal without a city match for the tennis center but without the needed improvements, there are liability concerns if someone were to be injured while playing on the courts. The Greene County Tennis Association continues fundraising efforts to assists in paying for the repairs.
