Police were sent to the parking lot of Walgreen’s on East Andrew Johnson Highway Friday afternoon, for a welfare check of a female asleep behind the wheel of her car.
Officers spoke with the female in the driver’s seat who was identified as Bobbie Wedding, of Mosheim.
The report stated there were several empty containers of alcohol in the vehicle, which Wedding allegedly said belonged to her husband.
Wedding performed well on sobriety tests given, however a consensual search of the car found 3 Gabapentin pills in the bottom of a cigarette pack. Wedding was charged with Schedule Five Drug Violations and taken into custody.
