A motorcyclist was flown to the Johnson City Medical Center Wednesday night following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of the Asheville Highway and Clubhouse Lane.
South Greene Volunteer Fire Department Chief David Weems says upon arrival firefighters found the motorcycle operator, who was conscious and alert, lying in a field adjacent to the roadway.
Greene County EMS transported the patient to a landing zone at Victory Church of God on Sanford Circle. Highlands Air Rescue then transported the patient to JCMC.
A name and condition are not yet available pending a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad and Greene County Sheriff’s Department also responded.
