Two Greeneville High Juniors scored a perfect 36 on the ACT College Exam this year.
Hudsun Fillers and Katy Keller were recognized for their accomplishments at the Greeneville City School Board Monday.
Assistant Director of Schools for Instruction Richard Tipton said such an achievement is extraordinarily rare.
RICHARD TIPTON COMMENTS
We had two exceptional juniors from Greenville High School. Hudsun Fillers and Katy Keller, and each student earned a perfect composite score of a 36 on their ACT during the spring testing window. This achievement is extraordinary rare, out of 1.3 million students who take the ACT each year, fewer than 0.3% achieve this. So it is an extremely rare accomplishment for students. A perfect score not only represents subject mastery across English math, reading, and science, but also the discipline and resilience and curiosity of these high achieving students.
Hudsun and Katy’s success placed them among the top of college bound students nationally and opens the door to many competitive admissions and scholarship opportunities.
I would also like to really think their families and our schools, for their unwavering encouragement and guidance, and helping lay the foundation for this accomplishment.
Hudsun, you and Katy’s achievements really a great partnership between schools and families, and you all working hard, so I’m extremely proud of you and what you’ve accomplished.
And the good thing is Senior retake days is a lot less stressful now. You’ve already got the 36!
