The body of a man was found in an abandoned home in the two hundred block of North Nelson Street Tuesday afternoon.
The property owner called Greeneville Police shortly after Noon, reporting he believed someone was staying in the house.
Forced entry was gained through the front door where Police found the body, which may have been there for some time, on a couch.
Matching tattoos with those on record at the Greene County Detention Center, the man was identified as Johnathon E. Davis of Midway Road, Midway.
Several tools were found around the body as well as multiple items typically used by diabetics.
Greeneville Police CID and the TBI were called in to investigate the death. The mans family was notified.
