A truck was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon near the West Pines Road/Kingsport Highway intersection.
Steven Fisher says he was driving on the Kingsport Highway when the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado started smoking. He pulled off the roadway and noticed flames in the mid section of the vehicle. Fisher was able to exit the truck without injury before it burst into flames.
The Newmansville Volunteer Fire Department responded along with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
