The Greeneville City Board of Education is now within around $44,000 of a balanced budget for the 2025-2026 school year following their second budget workshop Tuesday afternoon at the Central Office.
School Board members are hopeful due to increased costs for school buses, an original $96,000 allocation from the city for that purpose could be increased to $140,000 to cover the difference and make up for the the current $44,089 deficit.
