Preliminary work on the sewer rehab in Greeneville began this week.
There were some road closures and detours in the West Main, Asheville Highway and Vann Road areas on Thursday.
Jeff Parman with the Greenevillle Water Commission says actual pipe bursting work being done by Morgan Contracting will begin Monday and continue on Tuesday of next week at the intersection of Main and the Asheville Highway.
Contractors believe at this time they will be able to keep Asheville Highway open during the work but both sides of the intersection at Main Street will be closed both Monday and Tuesday at 8:30 am.
