Emergency personnel were called back Wednesday afternoon to East Wells Hill Lane in Bulls Gap after a barn fire rekindled.
The fire was initially reported on the Kenneth Lamons property in the 600 block of East Wells Hill Lane on Tuesday. Lamons told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department a neighbor called to report the barn on fire.
According to Lamons, there was no electricity running to the barn, which was used only to store hay. About 200 bales were destroyed. The barn was valued at $30,000.
The Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department was called back to the scene around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon when the fire rekindled.
The Town of Mosheim Fire Department was also called shortly afterward. Also responding were firefighters from Midway, United, Debusk, Caney Branch and the St. James Volunteer Fire Departments.
The Orebank Volunteer Fire Department stood by for any calls in the Mosheim area while those firefighters were on the Bulls Gap scene.
