Washington County Sheriff’s investigators have identified the body found in the Nolichcukey River on April 11.
The body of 53-year-old Dion Barnes was recovered from the river off Arnold Road between Embreeville and Lamar.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, evidence at the scene indicated the death was not flood related.
No further details have been released. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release Tuesday that the investigation is ongoing.
