North Greene Senior Bennett McLain is one of 621 students nation wide named as semifinalists as U.S. Presidential Scholars.
The 621 were selected from a pool of over 6,000 candidates.
In the coming months, 161 of the semifinalists will be named as U.S. Presidential Scholars.
As far as his future plans Bennett says,

Bennett is one of only 15 from Tennessee named semifinalists. He is also the son of former Director of Greene County Schools, David and wife Delana McLain.
The U.S. Presidential Scholars will be announced in early May.
