In addition to the hangar rent increase and lease agreement discussion, the Municipal Airport budget for the 2025-2026 fiscal year was approved by the Airport Authority on Wednesday.
POSSIBLE CLOSE FOR SNOW RATHER THAN PAY FOR REMOVAL
Especially at a time when the Airport is watching it’s financials even closer , Airport Manager Angela Alley reported the cost for snow removal from the runway from an outside contraction on two occasions this past winter was nearly $10,000.
Upon a suggestion from Alley, board members agreed the Airport should close on such days rather than pay that amount in the future.
WAITING ON NEW COMMERCIAL HANGAR FUNDING
A resolution to apply for $1.45 million in federal and state grant funds for construction of the new commercial hangar was approved by the board. It will be August before such grants would be awarded which require a $70,000 local funding match.
