An elevated fire danger will be back in the forecast this afternoon and evening. A Red Flag Warning will also be in effect Until 9 pm for the East Tennessee mountains and foothills
Relative humidity values will drop into the mid to upper 20s for most of the area this afternoon. In addition, west to northwest winds between 10 to 15 miles per hour with gusts up to 25 miles per hour expected.
Wind gusts up to 30 mph are expected across the higher elevations of the east TN mountains. These conditions will lead to an increased danger of fire spread and growth from this afternoon through early evening.
