A high wind watch will be in effect for Southeast Greene County Friday evening through late Saturday night.
Winds are expected to be 25-40 mph with possible gusts up to 80 mph in the mountains and adjacent foothills.
The winds could cause damage. Widespread power outages, along with downed trees and power lines, will be possible.
Traveling during the high winds may become difficult and dangerous. Motorists are advised to use caution especially in high profile vehicles.
When the high winds reach Greene County keep in mind that they can heavily effect fire growth and spread very quickly.
Widespread heavy rain will reach our area by Saturday afternoon.
