A brush fire Saturday off Houston Valley Road burned around eight acres but no one was injured.
The South Greene, St. James, Debusk and Camp Creek Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the 5400 block of Houston Valley Road. The U. S. Forestry Service also assisted at the scene.
