Greene County is one of 38 counties in the state undergoing ratio studies right now to measure how much the market has changed since the last property appraisal
CTAS Property Assessment Consultant Gabe Looney met with the Greene County Budget and Finance Committee Wednesday morning, accompanied by Greene County Property Assessor Chuck Jeffers.
Looney says the ratio study will be finished by next month.
Looney says CTAS projects the state-mandated tax formula will put Greene County in the same position as many other counties financially, and no doubt will put a strain on budget development for the coming year.
