The North Greene FFA Agricultural Issues Team is headed to the State Competition in Gatlinburg after advancing out of the regionals in February.
The team presented a sample of the debate to Greene County Board of Education members during their Thursday meeting.
The FFA competition discusses a current issue in the community. The North Greene group chose the topic of implementing Middle School Agriculture programs in the Greene County School System.
Team members are Chloe Keys, Hayden Cooter, Heidi Trentham, Emma Grace Meadows, Laura Keffer, Ashley Fulton and Erin Casteel. Their instructor is Chuck Michael.
Emma Grace Meadows will also be competing in the state FFA Creed Speaking competition. She is the East Tennessee Star FFA Greenhand for first year agriculture students.
