The Blue Springs Historical Association continues fund raising efforts to restore and maintain the Blue Springs historical building and cemetery. Future plans are to provide educational opportunities and space for the people of Mosheim and Greene County to hold such things as meetings and event weddings in the venue.
The now 10 year long effort to restore the facility at 920 Main Street in Mosheim was discussed by Association President Wilhelmina Williams to the Mosheim Board of Mayor and Aldermen last night.
Part of a $33,000 budget request from the Town for fiscal year 2025-2026 , would be $7,500 for a 90%/10% match for a Tennessee Historic Commission Grant.
The Blue Springs Historical Association is trying to reach their financial goals in preparation for USA 250 , the Nations Semiquincentennial in 2026.
A complete look at the goals and financial needs of the association presented to the Mayor and Aldermen last night, is attached to this story at wgrv.com.
