A woman was taken into custody Friday evening for identity theft.
Robin Moffitt of East Andrew Johnson Highway was located Friday around 9:00 PM and taken into custody for an active identity theft warrant for credit card fraud. According to the report, in an ongoing investigation, Moffitt had allegedly opened at least three different credit card accounts since 2021, using social security numbers that were not hers.
The total in credit card fraud was estimated to be around $2000.
