Following up on a report of a residential fire we first told you about over the weekend, a Chuckey home and contents, valued at $300,000, were considered a total loss in a Friday fire around 3:15 pm.
Units from the Newmansville, Limestone, and Tusculum Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the call at 11 Hice Lane off Heritage Road North.
In his report, Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Stephen Williams reported home owner Ethan Tolliver was downstairs with his children when his six year old daughter told him she heard popping noises upstairs. Tolliver saw the smoke, got everyone out of the house and called 9-1-1.
No foul play is suspected.
