Units from the Tusculum, Newmansville and Limestone Volunteer Fire Departments, and Greeneville Fire Department responded to a call of a trash compactor fire near the American Greetings Manufacturing facility this morning.
Units responded to the 4:29 am call at 101 American Road in Afton to the report of the compactor on fire next to the building adjacent to the Plus Mark facility.
Firefighters were able to extinguish with fire without damage to adjacent structures.
Most responding units cleared the scene by around 5:30 am.
