One person died as a result of injuries sustained in a two vehicle head on collision Monday night in the 5400 block of the Kingsport Highway.
37 year old Brandy Nicole Watts was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which occurred shortly before 11:45 pm.
A Tennessee Highway Patrol report this morning indicates the 2008 Chevrolet Impala operated by Watts crossed the center line and struck the other vehicle head on. 50 year old Jason Eugene Saunders, the driver of the 2003 Dodge Caravan, was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
In addition to the Tennessee Highway Patrol , others responding were the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Newmansville and Tusculum Volunteer Fire Departments , Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad and EMS.
Authorities cleared the scene around 2:30 this morning.
