A Greeneville man was arrested Wednesday night on drug charges after police responded to a property on Apple Street.
The Greeneville Police Department arrived on the scene shortly after 7:30 PM after receiving a report of a suspicious person on the property, which appeared to be abandoned.
A vehicle was on the property with a man in the driver’s seat and another man standing at the garage of the building. Officers spoke with the male beside the garage and he was identified as James Feltner of Holly Creek Road, who had an active warrant on file with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
While police were securing the building, drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view where Feltner had been standing and where his belongings were sitting. A box containing around 3.5 grams of methamphetamine and a glass pipe were located. A separate glass pipe was also located lying near the box. Feltner claimed he found the box inside the house and had planned on burning it.
He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and felony manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of meth.
