Gov. Bill Lee’s school voucher bill quickly passed through two House committees Tuesday and will probably be debated on the House floor tonight.
The bill easily passed the House Education and Government Operations committees and the Finance, Ways and Means Committee last night.
The bill also passed in the Senate Education Committee Tuesday and is expected to be discussed in the Senate Finance, Ways and Means Committee today.
Those who strongly oppose the bill claim it would take funding from public schools. Those in favor say it’s about giving parents more options to choose the best education for their child.
