It was another successful year for the annual Ladies Classic basketball tournament at Hal Henard Gym in Greeneville.
Butch Patterson, who serves as Tournament Director, says he hopes to meet with town representatives at some point to discuss possible facility improvements, specifically the scoreboards in the gymnasium. One of them was not operating at all during the tournament in December, but is now working. The one hanging above the court was only operating on three of the four sides at the time.
While understanding the tournament only uses the facility for five days a year, Patterson says he would still like to work with the town on a possible upgrade of the scoreboards and ways to partner with others concerning the costs.
