A groundbreaking event will be held Friday for the new Greene County Health Department Facility.
The event will begin at 11:30 am at the site on McAfee Road near the Greene Valley site.
The Northern Regional Health Office of the Tennessee Department of Health will be hosting the event for the new facility.
The new, one-level, building will make the health department more efficient and convenient for services.
The state provided $5 million in grant funding and Greene County provided a $1 million funding match.
