Retired Greeneville fire fighter Marty Shelton was honored by the Greeneville City Council Tuesday for his 35 years of service with the Greeneville Fire Department.
Town of Greeneville Human Resources Director Patsy Fuller presented a plaque on behalf of the town recognizing his service.
Shelton still continues to fight fires as he has done since age 19 as he is Chief of the Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department.
