The latest proposal for ownership of the Greeneville Tech Center at Hal Henard and the equipment is on the agenda for a Thursday night meeting of the Greeneville City Board of Education.
The resolution on the agenda would have:
The Town of Greeneville purchase the Greeneville Tech Center (Lot 1)from Greene County Schools for $1,333,333.34
Greene County Schools purchase the Howard McNeese property (Lot 2) from the Town of Greeneville for $333,333.34, and
Greeneville City Schools to purchase the equipment from Greene County Schools for $532,695.34.
With those transactions, the Town of Greeneville/Greeneville City Schools would owe Greene County Schools a total of $1.532,695.34.
If the proposal is approved by all involved:
The Town of Greeneville/Greeneville City Schools would maintain ownership of the Greeneville Tech Center and all equipment
Greene County Schools would maintain ownership of the T.H. McNeese Center
Lots 4 & 5 would remain under the shared ownership of Greene County Schools (2/3rd) and the Town of Greeneville (1/3rd).
The City Board of Education meeting begins at 7:15 Thursday night at the Tech Center, following a Joint Board of Education meeting at 6.
