A Montford Avenue home was damaged by fire Monday afternoon.
Units from the Greeneville Fire Department responded to the 1:17 pm call at 109 Montford Avenue.
According to the report,the fire began in the cooking area of the kitchen.
The lone occupant of the home at the time was able to escpae uninjured.
Greeneville Police and Greeneville Energy Authority also responded to the scene.
