A Jefferson City man was indicted by a Greene County Grand Jury last week on Vehicular Homicide charges in connection with a motor vehicle crash in early 2024.
31 year old Robert M. Knight of Hilltop Drive, Jefferson City, was indicted last Thursday for his involvement in the March 17th death of 22 year old Tanner Horn of Rogersville.
Horn was a passenger in the car driven by Knight, which crashed while fleeing Mosheim police.
According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, the Knight Mercedes sedan crashed in the 1600 block of West Andrew Johnson Highway near Oasis Road
Both men were ejected from the car. Horn died at the scene. Knight was hospitalized as were two Mosheim Police officers, who crashed while avoiding the wrecked car.
In addition to the vehicular homicide charge, Knight was also indicted for simple possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license.
Knight remains held under $500,000 bond in the Greene County Detention Center.
