A High Wind Warning will be in effect until 10 this morning for the higher elevations.
South winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible , and gusts up to 80 mph are possible in the highest elevations and
downslope prone valleys.
This includes Southeast Greene County as well as the Blount Smoky Mountains, Cocke Smoky Mountains, Sevier
Smoky Mountains, Southeast Monroe, and Unicoi Counties.
Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
