David Crockett Birthplace State Park is planning several volunteer events for the public beginning in January, after Helene destroyed most of the park in late September.
Work will include removing damaged fencing and mud, and repairing trails.
Starting in January, the park will be hosting ranger-led volunteer groups to help clean up the park in hopes of getting it open as soon as possible.
Three events are set for January 11, 18, and 25 with a different activity each weekend.
For safety reasons, you must register at least one day before each event in order to participate.
